We've had so much growth in 2026 & excited to announce another Promotion Alert! 👏🌟
Meet Michelle Sokal, LPN, who was promoted to our Assistant Director of Nursing in January! Michelle has been with us for just over a year now. She previously worked as a nurse for ENT/Audiology and Neurology for 10 years, prior to that she worked in long-term care for 10 years. Michelle says she has built some meaningful friendships with our seniors. She enjoys hearing about the lives they have lived, all about their families, and who they have grown into today. Michelle says her goals as our ADON include making sure the residents are getting the highest quality of care with the most love possible. She also wants to bridge any communication gaps between residents' families and our staff. Michelle wants families to know that her door and ears are always open for anything, anytime. Overall, making sure that the residents are all happy and healthy while supporting the nursing staff to be able to deliver the cares to ensure this.
Michelle is from Bloomington/Normal but spent a year living in Colorado, and several years living in Southeast Texas. She has 2 daughters, 14 and 15 years old. They live on a farm north of Bloomington-Normal about 40 minutes. Her girls are avid hunters with their dad in the winters, while she reads, crochets, bakes bread, and does some DYI projects around the house. In the summer, they spend all of their time outside gardening, farming a small amount, swimming in the pond, and preparing the land for the next hunting season.
