From the Eating Disorders Review Journal: From Across the Desk
We recently had sad news about former EDR publisher Leigh Cohn, who passed away on May 6. In 1980, Leigh and his wife Lindsey founded Gurze Books, which published many books on eating disorders, including their first, which has remained a bestseller: Bulimia: A Guide to Recovery. Gurze Books published Eating Disorders Review for 13 years, until it was acquired by iaedp. In 2018, Leigh and Lindsey sold Gurze Books, and turned to their lifelong passions in art and music. In this issue, we also introduce our new Editor in Chief, Anne Marie O’Melia, MS, MD, Chief Clinical and Quality Officer, Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center, who brings a longtime expertise in eating disorders to our journal. Also see “Secrets,” an essay by former advisory board member, Dr. Kathryn Zerbe.
