August Updates and Reminders!!!

1) K-12 and IU students will all be starting classes this month! Please give yourself enough time to get to your massage session and to park.

2) I am scheduling for August, September, and October. Please contact me directly to schedule appointments!

3) I will working with IU Football again this season! I thank you in advance for any last minute schedule changes.

4) I will not be accepting new clients during September and October. I will go back to accepting new clients in November.

5) If you are sick or feeling unwell, please reschedule your massage appointment with me!!

Meet Leisa Parks, LMT!

Leisa is the Director of Education and Communications for PhysWiz and one of the instructors you will see for any Indiana in person CE courses.

She has been a licensed massage therapist in the state of Indiana for over 12 years. She is the lead massage therapist and owner of Parks Therapeutic and Sports Massage llc in Bloomington, IN.

Massage therapy continuing education has always been a passion, because she wants to create a community of massage therapists who are capable of creating treatment plans for athletes and clients of all degrees of movement and exercise!

What is the goal of the Therapeutic Reasoning for Athletic Performance and Recovery course?

This 7.5 CEU course's goal is to give you the tools to create a treatment plan for any athlete who comes in to your massage therapy practice for day 1, week 1, and month 1 from your own collective knowledge/training.

2025 Changes to Scheduling, Prices, Etc

1) The online scheduler will open at 8:00pm on the 27th of each month. This will go into effect December 27, 2024 for the January schedule.

2) Each person will only be allowed to schedule two sessions per month. If you would like to be seen for additional sessions, please reach out to me to be put on the waitlist.

3) Prices for single sessions will be increasing by $10. Prices for packages will be increasing by $20.

4) Only acute pain clients will have the ability to schedule future sessions directly with me at the time of their session after they schedule their own initial session with me. This is done 4 weeks at a time before a reevaluation of pain improvement is done to see if more sessions are required.

October Reminders!

1) The November schedule will open on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 8:30pm. As always, if you do not get a session scheduled, please contact me to be put on the waitlist!

2) If you are sick, please contact me to cancel/reschedule your session. You will not feel better after a massage if you are actively ill.

Policy Changes Effective October 5, 2024!

1) A credit or debit card will be held on file in the event of a no show or having to prepay for a session.

2) For a first time no show, you will be charged a $25 fee.

3) For a second time no show, you will be charged the full amount of the session.

4) For a third time no show, you will be charged for the full amount of the session and you will be dismissed from my practice.

September Reminders!!

1) The September schedule will open Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 8:30pm!

2) I am working with IU Football again, so there will be schedule changes reflected in the online scheduler.

3) If you do not get a massage session 24 hours after the schedule opens, please contact me to be put on the waitlist for September. The waitlist resets each month, so please be sure to contact me to be added.

4) With schools being back in session, sicknesses outside of the regular allergy fun will be making their rounds. Remember, if you are actively ill (have a fever/not 24 hours after breaking a fever, intense coughing, flu symptoms, etc.), contact me to cancel and/or reschedule your massage session. You will not feel better after receiving a massage while you are still actively ill.

5) IU is back in session so parking might be less available for finding close spaces. Remember to leave with enough time to find parking and pay for parking before your massage session.

Please read the following updates and reminders!!

1) Beginning with the July schedule, my hours and days will be shifting. These changes will be reflected when the schedule opens for July on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 8:30pm.

2) If you are not able to get a time scheduled when the scheduler opens, after 24 hours after the scheduler opens please contact me to have you placed on the waitlist for July. The waitlist resets every month and people will be contacted in the order in which they contact me about being put on the waitlist.

3) Effective July 1, 2024, there will be updates to the No Show Policy. I will have those updated policies for everyone to sign at their first session with me after July 1, 2024.

4) Effective July 1, 2024, the 30-minute options are no longer available. I will only offer 60-minute, 90-minute, and 120-minute options. This will be reflected on the scheduler when it opens for July on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 8:30pm.
