🍎Homemade Apple Cider = Fall in a Mug🍎

Nothing says cozy like a warm mug of spiced apple cider on a crisp fall day. This recipe is simple, delicious, and will make your whole home smell like autumn. The best part? It simmers away while you go about your day, and when it’s ready, you’ll have the perfect drink for chilly evenings, family gatherings, or holiday celebrations.

Here’s how to make it:

- Start with 1 gallon of apple cider (or a mix of cider and juice).

- Add 2 slices of fresh orange for brightness. 🍊

- Toss in 5–7 cinnamon sticks, 12–15 whole cloves, and 12–15 whole allspice.

- Heat on low for 6–12 hours, adding water as needed to keep about 1 gallon total.

When finished, strain out the spices and oranges.

Pour the cider back into the original jug, store it in the fridge, and reheat a mug at a time whenever you want a little fall comfort. 🍂☕
This cider is not only tasty—it’s an experience. From the scent that fills your home to the warmth in every sip, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season. Who’s ready to try it? 👇

INSURANCE INSIGHTS

❓What Is Prior Authorization in Health Insurance & Medicare?

Prior authorization (also called pre-approval) means your health plan requires you to get approval before it will cover certain services, treatments, or prescriptions.

If you skip this step, you might be stuck paying the full cost out of pocket—even if it’s a service normally covered. 😬

✅ Used to confirm medical necessity
✅ Helps prevent unnecessary or overly expensive treatments
✅ Common in Medicare Advantage & private plans

❓How Do You Know If You Need Prior Authorization?

Not sure if a procedure, test, or prescription needs pre-approval? Here’s how to check:

✅ Look in your plan’s Summary of Benefits or EOC
✅ Call your insurance or Medicare plan
✅ Log into your member portal
✅ Ask your doctor’s office—they often submit it for you

🎯 When in doubt, always check first—or you could end up paying out of pocket. Need help reviewing your plan? We’re just a message away! 💬

INSURANCE INSIGHTS

❓What is a frequency limitation?

A frequency limitation, sometimes called a type of annual limit, is a rule in health, dental, or vision insurance that restricts how often a specific service is covered—usually once within a set time period, like once per calendar year or once every 12 months.

🦷 Example: If your dental plan covers one cleaning every 6 months, that’s a frequency limitation.

Some plans require you to wait the full time period before receiving the service again, while others allow you to receive it once within that time frame, regardless of the exact date.

🚦 Example: One plan may require exactly 365 days between annual checkups, while another allows one per calendar year (e.g., Jan–Dec), even if appointments are just months apart.

📞 Not sure how your plan handles these details? We’re here to help you make sense of it all!

INSURANCE INSIGHTS

❓What is a Premium?

A premium is the monthly payment you make to Medicare, an insurance company, or a health plan to keep your health or prescription drug coverage active.

Think of it like a subscription—just like Netflix, but for your healthcare!

Even if you don’t use your benefits every month, keeping up with your premium ensures your coverage is there when you do need it.

INSURANCE INSIGHTS

❓What is a Copayment?

A copayment (or copay) is a fixed dollar amount you pay for a covered service—after you've met your deductible. It's your share of the cost when you visit the doctor, fill a prescription, or get medical care.

👉 Example: If your plan says you have a $20 copay for a doctor visit, that’s what you pay at the appointment—no surprises.

Copays are one way insurance helps split costs, so you’re not stuck with the full bill. Want help understanding how your plan handles copays, deductibles, and more? We’re here to help!

Wishing You a Safe and Happy 4th of July!

On July 4, 1776, a group of bold visionaries came together to declare something extraordinary: that a nation could be built on liberty, equality, and shared hope.

Today, as we celebrate Independence Day, we’re reminded that those values live on—in every act of kindness, in every movement to enrich our democracy, and in every community that comes together to uplift and support one another.

We're honored to be part of your journey, helping you safeguard the people and things you care about most.

We wish you a joyful, safe, and meaningful 4th of July! 🎆
