While the weeks of looking back and saying goodbye to 2016 have passed, there is one more farewell that needs to be extended. And that is to you, dear community, as we bring our operations to a close at the Celiac Center of Minnesota, effective 1/31/17. It has been a privilege to serve this community during the past unforgettable seven years, during which we have met so many wonderful families through our meetings, events and Gluten Detective camp. However, we feel our mission of directing local resources to the gluten free community has been achieved. The digital landscape has made these resources, once shared exclusively by word of mouth and hard copy lists, instantly available to our community. While technology can never replace the comforting hug and counsel of someone who has walked the same path, the busy demands of family schedules (both of our community’s and our own) have made it difficult to deliver that personal support in a consistent and meaningful manner. It truly has been an honor to have helped the dozens of families who have walked through our doors over the years! Good luck to all, and thank you for your support!
