Did you know?
In Traditional Chinese medicine, we follow something called the TCM Health Clock.
It maps how Qi (energy) flows through each organ system over a 24-hour cycle. Each organ gets a 2-hour window where it’s at its peak.
✨ When everything is in balance, this flow supports energy, digestion, sleep, and emotional stability.
✨ When there’s imbalance, symptoms often show up during that organ’s time.
Here are a few key moments that may provide a little insight to what your body is doing/feeling:
🚽 5–7 AM (Large Intestine)
This is the best time for elimination- i.e. a bowel movement should happen every AM.
🍲 7–9 AM (Stomach)
Prime time to eat. Skipping breakfast here can weaken digestion long term.
🌾 9–11 AM (Spleen)
Focus, concentration, and transformation of food into Qi.
Brain fog here? This means your not transforming your food into fuel for your body.
❤️ 11 AM–1 PM (Heart)
Peak circulation and connection, and the Shen (spirit) is most active.
