Catholic Charities in Bloomington is committed to enhancing the availability of quality mental health services in the communities it serves. We do this through the delivery of professional mental health education and counseling on a sliding fee scale and through advocacy for affordable, easily accessible community mental health services. We serve all residents of the counties of the Bloomington Deanery of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis: Brown, Lawrence, Morgan, Monroe, Orange and Owen Counties.

At Catholic Charities Bloomington, we see how stress, uncertainty, and hardship can affect sleep for individuals and families in our community. That’s why we remain committed to walking alongside those in need, offering support, stability, and hope.

This week, and all year long, we encourage everyone to prioritize rest, practice healthy sleep habits, and extend compassion to neighbors who may be struggling to get the rest they need.

At Catholic Charities Bloomington, we use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help the brain heal after traumatic events. EMDR works by allowing both sides of the brain to communicate, reducing the fight-or-flight response tied to painful memories.
