I had the opportunity to talk about how I've seen the formula shortage affecting our community. It is heartbreaking watching families in our community worry and struggle to find solutions to feed their little ones. Maternal health in our country is already lacking and the postpartum period is already overwhelming enough without the added struggle on how we will be feeding our babies. This must be a priority. There's been a shortage of infant formula going on for some time, but people based in Central Illinois that spoke with WGLT said it hadn't hit hard until the past three-to-four weeks.

While the umbilical arteries carry deoxygenated, nutrient-depleted blood from the fetus to the placenta.⁠

The placenta is the only organ that our bodies dispose of after birth. Luckily for us we are aware of the benefits our placenta has after birth by encapsulating it.

I saw this picture and I wanted to share it because it is a good representation of what we call "doming".
This is when you go to sit up or do an ab work out and the stomach pops out a little bit.
With proper training of DEEP core muscles (transverse abdominis), we can strengthen stomach muscles WITH OUT this doming happening, which is from the separation between the more superficial re**us abdominis.
