Yes!! 💖 Deep caring and kindness doesn't have to be only felt spontaneously out of shared times of tragedy ~ we can mindfully tap into that feeling and purposefully create emotional generosity, kindness, and caring in daily interactions, with anyone, all the time 🥰❤️🫂❤️
& it might be a measure of our own wellbeing, so if this is not something that feels possible currently, have deep self-compassion and caring, and start to shift things so you can have more space and time for what you need first ~ natural kindness can begin to flow again organically from there, as wellbeing begins to be restored 🥰 It can take some time to replenish ourselves after (or during) prolonged stress or trauma, but it's worth it!!
A good way to start: sitting quietly and guiding your belly to move in and out with your breath (rather than focusing your breathing up in your chest). Belly expands like a balloon as you breathe in, belly deflates as you breathe out. This style of breath naturally activates the parasympathetic nervous system and moves us into our "rest and digest" state (the antidote to "fight flight or freeze"), and with practice, helps us feel super grounded and relaxed.🐾❤️
I have an unpopular opinion. I miss the lockdowns and after math in 2020. Now, hear me out, I don't miss the virus, or the fear, or the stress. I miss the world wide coming together. People, and I mean pretty much EVERYONE was uplifting, kind, helpful, in anyway they could be! Food was pouring in and we had plenty to give, which was good with the need doubling over night. Cash donations appeared all the time! Although many were afraid to volunteer, they would share posts and comments with kind words on everyone's pages. People would mow lawns of those needing it, no questions asked. You need something, you ask and it would show up magically on your doorstep. Everyone helped in anyway they could, be it money and items, to work and kindness. I have never seen such a time of kindness and willingness to help. And I'm not just talking about us, I mean this was world wide! It was an amazing time to be alive in!
Today, I see so much negativity. People picking apart anything and everyone over the smallest thing, stupid things really. It's on social media, its out in public. I feeling of the world is depressed, anxiety ridden, just mean. Can we please bring back the times of 2020 when we had the kindness? No matter where you are in the world, please try and make it a goal to do 1 thing kind everyday, even if it's a kindness to yourself, maybe you could use a chocolate bar or 10 min to relax. It does not have to involve money. Maybe smile and wave at someone, post a nice comment, congratulate or tell someone they are doing great, leave out some water for animals or bees, volunteer somewhere, ANYWHERE, tell kids they are amazing, tell someone you love them ( and really mean it ). SO much can be done! Seriously, con we please bring that feeling back? Feel free to share and challenge your friends.
