Decision adds new access to acupuncture for Medicare beneficiaries as a potential pain treatment alternative to opioid use

East West is seeking a caring patient services and reception specialist. Part time, avg 20-24 hours a week. Days: M T W Th. Hours: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm; we take an ample lunch break and then return for the afternoon from 2 pm to 5/5:30 pm. Duties include answering phones, returning calls, checking out patients and scheduling visits. Light clerical work, some filing and tracking patient records. Join our caring team of integrative health professionals today. Medical office experience preferred, but will train the right candidate.

Please consider making a donation, large or small, to support our HIV Wellness Gold Team this year!

Misha's team walked again this year to raise funds to support HIV+ women and men who would not otherwise have access to Chinese medicine treatment. Most of the HIV+ people they serve are elderly and/or disabled, have no insurance, or have no inadequate insurance that does not cover acupuncture, or have Medicare that calls acupuncture "experimental" and lack resources to pay for treatment.

In order to continue at the capacity that they have been able to serve these patients for the last several years, we need to continue to raise funds to support these HIV+ women and men.

So, please continue to to reach out to friends, families and colleagues for AIDS Walk 2019 for these women and men with HIV/AIDS to access subsidized Chinese medicine treatment and acupuncture.

We have until August 9th to turn in money for this year. Anything beyond that time does not go to our Team for this year.

Becky Holtzman has been practicing Reiki since 2013, and was initiated as a Reiki Master in 2019 following a two-year apprenticeship in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system. She has particular experience in Reiki for cancer support, and since 2017 has been the Reiki provider at Olcott Center for Cancer Education. Becky received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University in 1996, and after two decades out West returned to Bloomington, opening Orange Flower Healing LLC in 2016.
