Tax season is here. Don't miss this chance for free professional guidance.

From now through April 8, Bloomington City Hall will be open for Wednesday appointments (5-8 p.m.) for tax preparation services to eligible residents of Monroe, Brown and Owen counties.

The Free Community Tax Service is led by United Way of South Central Indiana and supported by a network of local agencies. New this year, Indiana Legal Services will provide consultations, including assistance with prior-year tax issues.

The Free Community Tax Service is available to individuals and families earning $67,000 or less and is delivered by IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers. Appointments are required at most locations and can be scheduled by calling (812) 349-3430 for English or (812) 349-3860 for Spanish.
