Culture of Care is an expansive effort of the members of the Bloomington and Indiana University communities to grow a culture that holds students, faculty, and the Bloomington community accountable for promoting safety and well-being for all its members. The movement formed in response to a series of occurrences and trends which we perceived as a threat to the physical, social, and emotional health of many individuals. By creating a shared foundational knowledge about bystander intervention, preventative measures, and steps to recovery in instances of drug and alcohol abuse, mental health issues, sexual assault, and disrespect, we can change the current circumstances.

We were grateful to attend the SHS gala, and had a great time. We are now happy to announce a campaign that SHS has started. Donations go to helping with needs such as healthcare, housing, transportation, and food. Be sure to include your IU email when donating so you can be recognized as a donor! The minimum donation is $5, and feel free to donate on behalf of a bike team so they can wear a philanthropy patch on race day! We appreciate any and all help towards this campaign :) Thank you!
