Amethyst House had a very special 2024. We have tabled alongside numerous events, like Paint the Town Purple, Summer of Recovery, and others. During the summer, we had our annual Celebration of Recovery where we commended the dedicated service of members in our community. In October, we hosted our 11th Annual Benefit Concert at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Endless thanks to and for coming to Bloomington for our cherished event. Also, we want to thank , Red Robin, Chipotle, , and Culver’s for hosting fundraisers to foster our mission! We would not be where we are without a strong community base so we thank you for your support every step of the way.

If you have any extra twin size bedding, towels, plastic hangers, and unused toiletries, please consider donating the items to the men's house. Items can be dropped off at the men's house or at the outpatient office.

September is National Recovery Month! Let us celebrate those who have overcame substance use disorders by coming together at the Monroe County Courthouse to Paint the Town Purple. We’ll see you at the square Friday September 20th!

Our 11th Annual Benefit Concert at the is right around the corner. On Wednesday October 9th at 7pm, Hiss Golden Messenger will be performing his acclaimed 2010 album “Bad Debt” and other fan favorites. Hannah Frances will be opening the show. Frances’s album “Keeper of the Shepherd” was one of Pitchfork’s labeled Best New Albums of 2024. Tickets are available at the Buskirk-Chumley’s website to hear these incredible artists live!
