We lost a favorite friend of Specs-Ellen Ruducil-this week. Over the years she bought many pairs of glasses. Ellen wasn’t Ellen without her eyewear! But it was more than buying glasses when she stopped in-it was hearing about her family, flowers, horse stories, trips, shopping and decorating, outings with friends that always made her visits so special.

I loved our last visit on June 10. She was brought in by son Mike and granddaughter Kinley. Then her daughter Amy stopped in. All helping her pick out some new glasses one more time. There was so much love among them in the boutique. A moment I will always cherish.

“Tonight was a very sentimental moment for the Rudicil family. All of Ellen’s grandkids got to pick a pair of glasses of hers to keep as a keepsake. I just have to share the picture with you because it defined her so well…..
She sure loved you, your store, and her amazing glasses, it truly defined her sweet and spunky personality! My daughter Kinley was with Ellen that day they came in to shop and it’s a memory she will forever cherish. Ellen so loved that last shopping outing!

Her service was beautiful and glasses were mentioned several times. Thank you for being part of her story ❤️”

Vacation Calls-We'll be closed June 17-July 2 with the exception of Saturday June 21 and 28. Both of those Saturdays we will be open 10-2pm.

Traveled down memory lane tonight with a mobile visit to Laurie who was enjoying al fresco dining. Julie delivered her new prescription Maui Jim sunglasses to her table! She was thrilled with the personal service and now no need to stop in tomorrow to pick them up!
