Dear Valued Patient,

The weekend of May 17/18 we had an upstairs fire sprinkler go off inappropriately, flooding 3 of our 4 clinical hallways all weekend. Monday, we arrive to 2 inches of water and rain falling out of the ceiling. BPC had extensive water damage to floors, walls, exam rooms, nursing stations and provider offices. The week of May 19-23 we closed onsite operations, but kept phones and some telehealth visits going.

After Memorial Day, Tuesday May 27th we will open on two sites:

Dr Forney, NP Bankston, NP Duncan will remain at our usual Heartland campus working out of 5 exam rooms in Hallway 4. Our main lobby is closed, so please enter through the ‘exit’ sliding doors.

Dr Houghton, NP Scanlon, NP Sitton and Dr Pilcher will be renting a medical suite at 1404 Eastland Drive, Suite 104. This is ground floor of the white 2 story building between St. Joseph Hospital and Kohl’s in the shopping mall. In fact, it is the old medical suite for BPC before we moved to our current location at 9 Heartland.

Lab services are fully open as usual, but only at Heartland. Most vaccines will only be available at the Heartland site. If needed at Eastland, we will send you over to Heartland for those items. With some employees working remote, we have full phone services available. We may ask you to do telehealth visit when appropriate, to help with onsite space issues.

Our hope is to be fully restored in 2 months, with a goal of early August. In the meantime, we remain ever grateful for our patient’s trust and are doing our best to continue to meet your healthcare needs and keep you safe.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, prayers and kind words! BPC was well insured by State Farm, including business disruption. Everyone is safe and healthy. Alas, this too shall pass!
