The Quiet Loneliness of a Full Life

It’s a strange thing, isn’t it? To have a full calendar, constant communication, and countless responsibilities and still feel separate from it all. To be competent, respected, and relied upon....and yet quietly, persistently, lonely.

💛 You’re not alone in feeling this way—and you don’t have to heal alone either.

You can be successful, busy, and surrounded by people—and still feel quietly, deeply alone. Group therapy offers something rare: a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. Where you can show up as you are, be seen, and start to feel connected again. Planting Seeds Recovery offers tail...

Guess what!? We have a new blog post! Most people think recovery starts with willpower or surrender—but at Planting Seeds Recovery, we believe it begins with connection. After years in traditional treatment settings, we saw how often clients were given homework and rigid rules to follow instead of human connection.

In this post, we share the heart of our approach-- how insecure attachment shapes substance overuse, why connection is the most powerful tool for change, and what it looks like to recover in a community that truly understands.

It is incredibly common for professionals to use alcohol as a way to feel less stress and take the edge off the overwhelm. This pattern of "getting through" becomes the norm and life passes. People talk about looking at Friday for relief but then never really feeling recharged by Monday.

The GOOD news is......
➡ We don't care if you have a "problem with drinking" or qualify as an "addict". We won't ask you this question or spend a lot of time on this topic.
➡ Our clients come to us because something is just not working and they don't know what to do about it.
➡ We know that "stuck" feeling well and can help you sort through the s**t that feels really stuck.
➡Our clients think about reaching out but it feels like "one more thing to do" so it never gets done.

Set up one session with us and see what you think! I am confident you will feel lighter afterward.

Schedule your first session easily on our website!

NEW GROUP OFFERING at Planting Seeds Recovery---

We are excited to be restarting our Partners In Recovery process group (Virtual) on Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm facilitated by Lauren Adsem. This group is a great place for professionals who are in relationship with someone who struggles with substance overuse to have a weekly place to connect, find support, and better understand their path forward. This is a small group (5-8 people), private pay $70/session, where clients can feel safe to share/explore.

We know that getting support when your loved one is struggling or trying to find a path of recovery can feel lonely, isolating and uncertain because there isn't a lot of support for this half of the equation. Lauren Adsem is a seasoned clinician, highly skilled in working with couples and families of people struggling with substance overuse.

Our process of intake--
Reach out to schedule a free 15 min consult to find out if the group is a good fit. If yes, Lauren will schedule a 55 min intake session ($185) to better understand your needs and goals. You are then welcome to start attending the group sessions!

Lauren is also available for individual, couples, and family sessions outside of these group sessions as needed.
