As much as I endorse community birth for low-risk moms, I also appreciate my colleagues in the hospital, who can provide the next level of care - usually for pitocin (to augment labor) or for an epidural, etc. or other concerns that risk moms out.
🌟Together we can assist moms and babies to have the very best outcomes.

🌟The Home Birth Summit acknowledges that out-of-hospital birth (or community birth) IS SAFE when there are proper channels in place to transfer to a higher level provider (OB/GYN) when necessary, and when that process is met with professionalism and the same goal in mind - to provide patient-centered, loving care to our moms. ❤️🙌

🌿 Meet Lisa Vance, CNM, MSN, PMH-C – member of The Grove Health Collective and the heart behind Streams of Life Birth & Wellness.

With over 12 years of experience and hundreds of births attended, Lisa is passionate about guiding women through every stage of womanhood, from pre-pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, she honors physiologic birth and meets moms where they are.

She was instrumental in helping bring midwifery care into local hospitals here in the Tri-Cities and continues to empower moms with education, support and a deep belief in their strength.

As a mom of six - including twins! - Lisa brings not only clinical expertise but also personal understanding, and she’s built a space where moms can feel informed, supported and never alone.

At 24-48 hours post partum our midwives come to your home and check in on you. We perform the hearing screen, Newborn Screen, keepsake footprints, gather and input Birth Certificate, obtain baby’s weight, assist with breastfeeding when needed and check on mom’s recovery.
