I admit, sometimes saying this can feel more like a slap in the face than positive and inspiring. But I’ve been finding that the more I say it to myself, starting with the smallest of annoyances, helps me to say (and feel) it when the bigger stuff comes around.
The next time someone cuts you off in traffic, “Everything works out FOR me.” Maybe they are in a hurry because they have a loved one at the hospital. Or maybe they prevented you from speeding and getting a traffic violation. Someone is rude to you at the checkout line? “Everything is working out FOR me.” Take a deep breath and say something nice to them instead. Maybe that was your opportunity to help change their day around.
Either way, everything that happens to you is an opportunity, and YOU get to decide what to do with it. Either make it for you, or against you.
