We had a wonderful afternoon at Blue Bell Place yesterday 🎶
JT entertained us with old-time tunes that had everyone singing along and brought back so many memories. The music was so touching it even brought a resident and an associate to tears. Thank you, JT, for such a heartfelt performance 💙

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reflect on the values that guide us every day: dignity, equality, respect, and compassion. In our community, we strive to create a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported, today and always.

❄️ A snowy weekend at Blue Bell Place was the perfect time to slow down and enjoy some cozy fun! Our residents spent the weekend doing word games, adult coloring, and trivia, all while listening to great music and sharing plenty of laughs. 🎶🖍️🧩
🤫 Shhh… don’t tell, but our Pathways community did way better at word mining!

Our first lunch outing of the year was a hit! 🍽️
We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Bacco Restaurant, where the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. A big thank-you to Taylor, our waitress, who was kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating to our group. And the dessert? So good we’re thinking next time we might just start there! 😄
Highly recommend!

Today, we honor Korean American Day, marking the moment in 1903 when the first Korean immigrants arrived in the United States, landing in Hawaii. 🇰🇷🇺🇸

While we may not have many photos to capture the enjoyment, our celebration was rich in culture, conversation, and connection. Residents enjoyed Japchae (Korean glass noodles with vegetables) from Todamgol Restaurant, along with a variety of delicious side dishes and traditional pastries filled with flavorful bean paste.

We spent time learning about Korean history, the struggle for independence, and the many meaningful contributions Korean Americans have made to American culture. Several of our Korean residents generously shared their personal stories and the different paths that led them to this country.

It was a truly interesting, informative, and fulfilling experience that we were grateful to share together. 💙

We’re starting 2026 on the right foot—one deep breath at a time 🧘‍♀️✨

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing and energizing seated yoga session this week, led by professional yoga instructor Yen, who guided us through proper breathing techniques, good posture, and simple movements that support healthier everyday habits. A peaceful and positive way to kick off the new year focused on wellness, balance, and self-care.

It was a busy and exciting week to start 2026 at Blue Bell Place 🌱✨

We enjoyed a wonderful horticulture group with Marsha, who helped us plant the first bulb of the new year—a Paperwhite Narcissus. Along the way, we loved learning about the history and legend behind this beautiful bulb. Now comes the best part: watching it grow and bloom in the weeks ahead. A perfect symbol of new beginnings and growth for the year ahead!

🎸👑 We couldn’t help falling in love with this celebration!

Yesterday, Blue Bell Place residents celebrated Elvis’ birthday in true rock ’n’ roll style with DJ Betsy spinning all of the King’s greatest hits. From dancing in our chairs to hitting the dance floor and singing along, the energy was contagious! We even treated ourselves to grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches—Elvis’ favorite. A fun, toe-tapping afternoon fit for the King himself!
