Our team had a wonderful experience attending the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (GACCP) Summer Meeting last week. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with colleagues across the state, share ideas, and gain important updates and education on topics shaping our work in community care. 🤝
The sessions covered a diverse range of subjects, including DCH expectations for Structured Family Caregiving, Red Cross Ready Rating, and an overview of Social Security basics, distinguishing between SSI and SSDI. We also learned how assistive technology supports independence through Tools for Life, explored how member experience is assessed under the Settings Rule, and gained insights into Elder Care Law. ✅
A panel discussion on transportation featured leaders from DCH, Modivcare, and Verida, while other sessions highlighted social media marketing, understanding guardianship from DAS, upcoming changes to the IDD waiver, and the latest updates in Alzheimer’s care. 💜
