Greater Conshohocken Business and Professional Women Greater Conshohocken Business and Professional Women (BPW) is part of the BPW tradition of helping women in the workplace.

Greater Conshohocken BPW is a local, dynamic and diverse group of individuals. We welcome women and men of all walks of life and levels of employment. We believe that unity is the strength needed to achieve our goals. We encourage and support members' personal and professional growth. We are also BPW District, State and National Foundation members. Greater Conshohocken BPW has been around since 1949, helping women from all walks of life and levels of employment. With over 80% member retention, we focus on building and maintaining relationships between our members and within our community. For 65 years, we have been a part of the BPW tradition of helping women through growth and change for women in the workplace. Membership in our local organization also entitles you to become part of the National, State, and District levels, making us one of the largest organizations for working women in the world. BPW programs and projects enable women to acquire skills and knowledge beneficial to their careers and personal lives. Peer Support – We take you seriously and your needs are our #1 concern. Networking – You have the opportunity to build invaluable contacts with other working women. Education – Various programs provide a wealth of knowledge in all matters pertaining to women. Political Awareness – BPW keeps you abreast of legislative issues critical to women. The Political Actional Committee (PAC) supports women/pro-women candidates locally. Individual Development Course – A course designed to develop leadership and interviewing skills, public speaking and networking tools. Young Careerist – A program designed to recognize the achievements of young working women. Scholarship – BPW Foundation and BPW/PA provide scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students. Community Involvement – Area services including local women’s shelters, the Montgomery County Community College scholarship and the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Award. Monthly Meetings

We meet every 4th Monday of the Month (September through June) at various local restaurants.

Stenton Avenue between Bethlehem Pike and Joshua Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 15 through December 18.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bethlehem Pike, Skippack Pike and Joshua Road.

The closure is for pipe replacement work.

We will be closed Wednesday, December 17 for staff in-service training. This also includes Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, Royersford Free Public Library, Upper Perkiomen Valley Library and Perkiomen Valley Library at Schwenksville. Borough facilities will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, December 15. Borough Administrative offices will open at 10:30 a.m., and the Community Center at the Fellowship House will open at 9 a.m. All programs and rentals held before 9 a.m. have been cancelled.

Public Services will treat Borough roads and applicable sidewalks throughout the evening and early morning hours. They will collect trash and recycling on the East Side tomorrow; however, please expect delays as the priority will be roadway safety. If Public Services experiences any weather-related delays during trash collection, collection will continue on Wednesday until the route is complete.

The Menorah Lighting hosted by the Chabad of Lafayette Hill is still scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Mary Wood Park.
