Our Spring 2026 Outstanding Family Caregiver is Angi! Thank you Angi, for saying “Yes”. Not many adult children are able and available to care for their family member due to various reasons, but you chose to say “YES” so thank you and more power to you.

Here’s more about Angi and her Mom Mary:

Hi, my name is Angi and this is my mom Mary. I’ve been caring for my mom through Pride Home Care for over a year. My mom has always been a very independent and active person. She loves being outside and gardening. After her difficult medical journey: a breast Cancer diagnosis, and Lymphedema in her right arm (among other medical issues) it got harder for her to do day to day activities. Then in December of 2023, we experienced the tragic death of my sister. Things got harder for my mom’s physical and emotional well-being. Thanks to Pride Home Care that I’ve been able to help her through all her doctor appointments, daily routines, and be here for emotional support. My previous experience in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant has helped me tremendously in caring for my own mother and help guide her through this transition. I feel fortunate that I’m able to be here for her. Thank you Pride Home Care for all you do to help families who need assistance and support! We’re very thankful.”

When someone is sick or nearing the end of their life, we feel the urge to fix, to explain, to ease what cannot be undone. But they are not a problem to solve, they are a human being wishing to be seen.

Sometimes it is enough to simply walk through their door and sit. Let your presence be what reminds them they are not alone. There is no need to bring answers to questions that were never asked, no need for a polished performance.

And if you find yourself wondering whether you are doing enough, remember this: you do not have to arrive with solutions. You do not have to try so hard. Your presence is not small. It is not secondary. It is a gift.

You are enough. Just show up. Sometimes that is all that someone else needs.

KERI HARRIS has been named Employee of the Month for March 2026. With a commitment to care that spans back to 2023, Keri continues to make a positive impact on our clients' lives.
Congratulations, Keri!

Here's more about Keri:

“At 58 years old, I am married to Richard, my husband who has recently faced a significant health challenge due to a stroke. As the oldest sibling among five, family has always been a cornerstone for me, and I am blessed to have three adult children and three grandsons who bring immense joy to my life.

Being a caregiver, a role I embarked on near the end of the COVID pandemic, allows me to treat my clients like family, and I genuinely love what I do. I carry the memory of those who have passed in my heart.

Outside of work, I find solace in nature, whether that's visiting waterfalls, walking through the forest, or swimming. Personally, I strive to be the best version of myself in all roles - as a Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. Furthermore, I am working towards making my candle business, keri'slittlelightofmine, a success.”

Keri wishes to honor her father's memory by sharing a photo of the two of them below.
