OPEN 24 HOURS ON ALL MAJOR HOLIDAYS At Mountain Emergency Animal Center, our mission is to provide high quality, compassionate emergency and critical care services to the pets, owners, and all referring veterinarians of the Tri-State area in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Hours:
24 hours on Weekends and Holidays

Monday-Thursday - Open 6pm through 8am next morning
and
Friday 6pm through 8am Monday morning

Mountain Emergency Animal Center will be closed on Thursday March 27th for the installation of a new roof.
We apologize for bay inconvenience this may cause.

Good morning Facebook family! We hope you had a great holiday!
We just want to take a moment to clear up some misunderstanding that has been brought to our attention.
The news that MEAC is closed or closing it NOT true.
Mountain Emergency Animal Center is open and will remain open our normal business hours. We are fully staffed each shift and prepared to help you and your pets should they need emergent veterinary care.

Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We’re looking for:

Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Highly organized and possess computer skills
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
+ Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
+ Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
+ Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
+ The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
+ Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.

Mountain Emergency Animal Center provides comprehensive emergency and urgent care during the day and at night, on the weekends and holidays. We work closely with your primary veterinarian to provide the most complete care possible for your family pet. We understand that your pet is an important member of your family and deserves the best possible medical care.

We are a direct extension of your family veterinarian and we will work closely with them in treating your pet. Your family veterinarian will receive faxed or emailed copies of all your records to provide a seamless line of communication.
