Behind every diagnosis and treatment plan is a team working carefully behind the scenes.

Medical laboratory professionals play a critical role in patient care. In fact, about 70% of medical decisions rely on laboratory testing. These dedicated professionals ensure every test is accurate, timely, and reliable so physicians can provide the best care possible.

During Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, we recognize the experts who help our care teams see what cannot be seen.

Help us celebrate our laboratory teams by leaving a message of appreciation in the comments.

Stress can affect more than just your mood. It can impact sleep, energy, and even physical health. Taking time to care for your mental well-being is an important part of staying healthy.

This Stress Awareness Month, our care teams encourage everyone to pause and take a moment for themselves. A short walk, deep breathing, spending time with loved ones, or simply stepping away from a busy day can make a real difference.

What helps you manage stress or recharge during the week? Share your favorite tips in the comments and help others in our community find healthy ways to relax.

Volunteers bring warmth, kindness, and compassion into hospitals every day.

Across the country, millions of volunteers give their time to support patients, families, and healthcare teams. In hospitals, their presence can make a meaningful difference by offering comfort, guidance, and a friendly face when it matters most.

This National Volunteer Month, we celebrate the individuals who generously share their time and energy to serve our community.

If you know one of our volunteers or have been helped by one during a visit, share a message of appreciation in the comments.

Recently, our team had the privilege of caring for a patient who experienced a sudden cardiac emergency while at his son’s practice. Thanks to quick action from those nearby and access to an AED, care began before EMS arrived.

Once at the hospital, our physicians, nurses, and care teams worked together to stabilize and support him through critical care, recovery, and rehabilitation. After several days in the ICU and continued care on our telemetry and acute rehab units, he was able to regain strength and safely return home.

What makes this story even more meaningful is that the AED used in that moment was one our hospital had previously donated to the community.

We are grateful to everyone involved, from bystanders and first responders to the many care teams who supported this patient every step of the way.

Health begins long before someone enters a hospital.

Public health efforts help protect communities every day through education, prevention, vaccinations, and programs that support healthier lifestyles. These efforts play an important role in keeping families safe and reducing the risk of disease.

During National Public Health Week, we recognize the professionals and organizations working to strengthen community health and expand access to care.

What steps do you take to support your health and well-being? Share in the comments and encourage others in our community to do the same.
