🧠💪 How long could it last
In clinic, I often see patients frustrated with how long certain injuries—especially those involving nerves or tendons—take to recover. There’s a scientific reason for this! Tendons, for instance, have a relatively low blood supply compared to muscles, which limits the nutrients and oxygen they receive for repair. Similarly, nerves regenerate very slowly—sometimes as little as 1 millimeter per day—because the body must rebuild complex structures like the myelin sheath to restore proper function.
This doesn’t mean recovery is impossible; it just means we have to work smarter, not harder. Strategic care, from reducing inflammation to improving mobility and blood flow, supports the natural healing process. I always remind my patients: recovery timelines vary, but staying committed to your plan will get you back to peak performance.
