My Earth name is Christian, but during yoga you can call me Silly Harry. I’m a mystic and devotee of the Pachamama, the Universe and the Divine Spirit that animates all things. In 2001, I attended my first yoga class while working as an Environmental Officer on a cruise ship, and since that day yoga has been a constant thread weaved through my life and spiritual path. I’ve had deepening spiritual awakening experiences that began in 2006 and have lead me from a place of unhealthy addictions, mental suffering and physical pain to having the door of the Divine blast open so I could clearly see and experience the True Reality of my human experience. The teaching style I embody is inspired by my own practice at Yoga Time Studio with teachers Mindy Beach, Gretchen Schutte and Dave Rankin; Bhakti yoga devotion with Hare Krishnas; self-study and contemplation of yogic and spiritual texts; inner shadow work through my GBTQ ManKind Project integration group; Quaker silent meeting and beliefs; completing Master level certifications and skills from the Maryland Center for Reiki Training; and amazing life changing plant medicine experiences and spiritual learnings with Peruvian shamans and Andean priests. The clarity I’ve found from my own work has given way to a yoga teaching intention of distilling the core essence of these varied Universalist traditions into a creative, playful, entertaining and easily understandable Way for all levels of practitioners. I hope to see you at the studio!

I'm bringing a new candlelit Yin Yoga format to my Wednesday night Bhakti Yoga class as we transition into the darkness of fall and winter.

7:15-8:30pm at Yoga Time Studio in Purcellville: devotional mantras, Yin Yoga asanas, with an ending mystical meditation/Yoga Nidra.

Hi Everyone!! I completed Reiki Master level training last weekend and had such an awesome experience into Divine Love and Mystery.

I took Reiki levels 1 and 2 back in 2019, and continue to use the techniques and energy every day to connect deeper to the Universe.

If anyone wants to learn more about Reiki or my experience taking the classes, post a comment or contact me.

DON'T FORGET: tomorrow/Friday is bike to work day!

When I lived in Washington State, I reignited my love for bicycling when I bike commuted onto the ferry to Seattle from Bainbridge Island every day. I got to see the sunrise over Puget Sound, breathe in all the glorious maritime and earthly smells, and watch the colorful world go by at a slower pace. Wow, what a wild trip!

Here's an ancient yogi bicycling secret: when one sits upon a bicycle seat, we engage our mula bandha (aka root lock/perineum) which according to esoteric anatomy counteracts our usual fight/flight state and instead brings us to a place of peace, calm and contentment.
