Did you know we offer FREE ultrasounds for pregnancies between 6 and 24 weeks, under the care of a Registered Nurse and overseen by a Medical Director? An ultrasound provides an early connection between baby and parents and bring pregnancy into reality.

Our RN said, "If I can help expectant parents see their little baby for the first time, or gain some better understanding of what they're going through and give them some knowledge and peace of mind, then I know I'm making a huge difference in not only their lives, but their child's life."

Ultrasounds are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, we suggest calling ahead to make an appointment! Call our office at 260-824-4263.

We’re looking for a meal volunteer to provide a meal for our Parenting Class this Monday for about 50 people (30 adults + 20 children).

You can help in one of two ways:
-Pick up take-out containers from Helping Hands on Monday morning and prepare 30 adult-sized meals + 20 child-sized meals.
-OR bring a meal to the church and serve it in person.

A typical meal includes the entrée and salad + 1 vegetable + 1 fruit and dessert

IN JUST FOUR WEEKS - the Bluffton 4H Event Center will be packed with 400 individuals from our communities, enjoying delicious food and mocktails, bidding in our live and silent auctions, and celebrating stories of transformation, program milestones, and the incredible impact of our community's support. We can't wait!

These three boys have been part of the Helping Hands' family for years, and what an honor it has been to watch them grow. Through our children’s programming, we’ve had the privilege to mentor, encourage, care for, love, and invest in them. Today, they’re growing into kind, respectful young men, and we couldn’t be more proud.

This is why we do what we do, walking alongside kids as they grow, dream, and discover the people they were created to be 🌟

“The Light Breaking Through”

This past weekend, our staff had the privilege of attending a two-day conference focused on childhood trauma, or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The content and information was heavy, but so informative. In between sessions, we spent the evening resting and reflecting at a lake cottage. The weather was perfect, and across the water we witnessed one of the most breathtaking sunsets.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, there was a moment when light broke through the clouds and stretched across the water. And when you see a sunset like that, you can’t help but smile.

It reminded us of our work. As we walk alongside our clients, there are moments when “the light breaks through.” A moment when, after all they have endured, hope emerges and a new beginning starts to take shape.

That image captures the heart of this year’s benefit and what we’d like to share. We invite you to join us in celebrating these moments of hope at our Annual Benefit on Thursday, October 9th at the Bluffton 4H Event Center!

We’re so thankful for the 20 churches, 10 businesses, and countless individuals joining together this year. Throughout the month, more than $15,000+ in change (approximately) will be collected to support the families we serve 💗

This weekend, our Helping Hands’ team had the privilege of attending the Lost Sparrows’ two-day Trauma Conference - a truly powerful time of encouragement, education, and connection.

From the keynotes to the breakout sessions and workshops, we gained a deeper understanding of how childhood trauma can impact a person throughout their lifetime. A key theme that we heard repeated is that connection + positive relationships play a key role in equipping an individual in the journey of healing - something Helping Hands desires to provide.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, be renewed, and connect with others who share the same heart for children and families 💙
