This year has brought so many opportunities to share the stories of hope and transformation happening every day at Helping Hands. And we know that every one of those stories begin with someone’s faith-filled gift that make it possible for us to offer our services at no cost to families in need. As we reflect on all God has done this year through your support, we want to begin by simply saying thank you.

We have been incredibly blessed throughout 2025, and we are deeply grateful for the generosity that has carried us to this point. As we look toward 2026 - a year marked by continued growth and the exciting transition to our new facility - we invite you to prayerfully consider how you might partner with us to help us finish this year strong and lay a strong foundation for the future.

Congratulations 🎉 We want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible families who have completed our Framework of Parenting program! Over nine weeks, these parents and children explored nurturing lifestyle practices, deepened their understanding of relationship styles and child development, and learned practical tools for managing emotions, communicating effectively, establishing routines, and creating safe, supportive environments.

We are so proud of the growth they’ve shown and the commitment they’ve made to their families. Congratulations, graduates! Their hard work is building stronger homes, healthier relationships, and brighter futures!

Helping Hands offers food assistance to meet increased needs, and food is going out the doors consistently. We are currently in need of non-perishable items:
-Canned chicken, beef or pork
-Cereal and/or pop tarts
-Peanut butter and jelly
-Pasta and sauce
-Granola bars
-Soups
-Microwavable rice pouches
-Instant mashed potatoes
-Ge**er toddler meals
-Freezer meals (either homemade or store bought)

Your donations help fill empty shelves and, more importantly, bring comfort and hope to families navigating difficult seasons! We are open M-Th, 9am-5pm if you would like to drop non-perishables off!

We are incredibly grateful for Outdoor Concepts and The ROP Shop for their remarkable generosity! They provided 30+ ready-to-make meal kits which will be an invaluable blessing for the families we serve. In addition, they donated winter coats, hats, and gloves for both children and adults. Their kindness is helping our families stay warm, nourished, and cared for this season!

We are deeply thankful for the families we have the privilege to serve, the dedicated staff who make our mission possible, the volunteers who enrich our work, the board of directors who faithfully guide our vision, and the donors and partners whose generosity sustains and strengthens our efforts.

Thank You, Wells County Community Foundation!

We are incredibly grateful to the Wells County Community Foundation for awarding Helping Hands a grant of $1,992 in support of our Hand in Hand children’s programming!

This funding helps us continue providing inclusive, safe, and positive spaces where children of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive. Now enhanced with sensory items and tools! Hand in Hand creates a nurturing environment built on trust, connection, and early intervention, helping reduce the risks of Adverse Childhood Experiences. Our curriculum supports social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative development.

Through fun-filled activities, developmental and creative play, and age-appropriate learning opportunities, we’re able to support children while their parents participate in our programming - promoting whole-family transformation.

Thanks to this generous grant, we can remove financial barriers and better equip our space to meet a wide variety of needs - ultimately strengthening the well-being of the children we serve.

My name is Kylie Tomlin, I’ve been on staff since June of 2020, fulfilling a few different roles prior to stepping in as Executive Director at the beginning of 2023. Within my role I love that I get to still take part in some client relations, but I love getting to put a plan in motion for the organization as a whole and cast vision! I couldn’t do what I do though, without the wonderful team we have here and our board of directors.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my best friend, Ryan, who I've been married to for 5 years! I am always up for a good adventure and probably planning my next trip. I am an avid lover of poetry or a good thriller book and art museums. In my free time you’ll most likely find me with my family, with my 5 nieces and 5 nephews, with friends playing board games, taking my golden retriever on a walk, or watching a good movie!

My life verse is Joel 2:12, “Come to me with all your heart.”

"My name is Jami, I am the facilitator for the community group, MomTime, at Helping Hands and have been since September 2022! We as women just enjoy being together… there have been tears and there has been laughter. I have really enjoyed being involved with Helping Hands, especially MomTime; I love being involved with the community and coming together as women to talk about all kinds of thing, to just connect and build relationships and friendships with one another. I am thankful to be in this season of life and I think God is going to grow me in my walk with Him as I serve at Helping Hands; it is a great place to challenge, encourage and sharpen each other in love.

I have been married to my best friend for 30 years and counting. We have three adult children, a son in law, and a daughter in law - and we love all of them! Anytime I get a chance, I love to babysit for our two grandsons. In my spare time, I love to walk, read, and take bike rides with my husband to the state park.

My favorite verse is Psalms 18:30, "As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.""
