Throwback to a beautiful sunset. I have no words to describe the emotional and visceral effect of the violence and depravity that is surfacing and being revealed right now. To say it is triggering is a gross understatement. However, it is indeed deeply triggering and I am having natural responses of outrage, disgust, horror and grief. The dark underbelly of human consciousness writhes and rears its multiple heads. The people in power in the U.S. got there by privilege and by force. The culturally conditioned rules you think you are supposed to be living by are lies. My heart goes out to all survivors and to the families of those who have not survived. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. No explanation needed.

Registration is open for Healing Through Yoga Mini Retreat: Somatics, Science & Nervous System Health with Kerri Zelman.

Join Kerri for this introductory training & mini-retreat exploring the foundations of trauma-informed care and somatic healing. Remember and reconnect with the inherent wisdom of the body through somatic (body-based) practices. Learn how ancient healing wisdom is now understood through the modern language of science.

This training is being offered as a mini-retreat over the course of 2 days, providing an opportunity for self-care and experiential learning that includes time for lecture & discussion as well as practice & reflection. Each day includes a 1-hour break for lunch and/or walk or rest and gluten-free vegetarian MEAL & SNACKS PROVIDED or bring your own.

This introductory training & mini-retreat explores the foundations of trauma-informed care and somatic healing through an integrative framework that combines the wisdom of yoga philosophy and practice with basic neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory. Sat. Nov. 15 @ 10 - 4 Sun. Nov. 16 @ 11 - 3
