My name is Jaimi, and I’m a birth doula here in the Mahoning Valley. I’m passionate about giving you the tools, education, and confidence you need to have the birth you’re desiring.

That’s why I’m hosting an in-person couples natural birth class at on February 21st from 9AM–1PM.

We will be discussing:
• The fear–pain–tension cycle—how to recognize it and techniques to break it
• Pain management—hands-on techniques for labor
• Stages of labor—knowing when it’s time to head to the hospital
• Breathing techniques for every stage of labor
• How to protect your pelvic floor during pushing (taught by Dr. Riana Taktikos, pelvic floor therapist)
• Navigating the hospital—understanding interventions, informed consent, and how to advocate for yourself

✨ Year One as a Birth Doula ✨

This year I attended 5 births, supported incredible women, and watched God move in the most beautiful ways.

From long labors to fast ones, first-time moms to growing families—every birth reminded me that God is faithful.

I’m beyond thankful for my clients, my support system, and this calling. Being a birth doula has been such a blessing 🤍

I am so incredibly thankful for the amazing women and families God entrusted me with this year. I truly love every single one of my clients, and I’m beyond grateful that you allowed me to walk alongside you during one of the most sacred seasons of your lives.

I’m also deeply thankful for the village behind the scenes—especially the wonderful babysitters who made it possible for me to attend births while my husband worked long hours. And my husband who put the girls to bed or hung out with them during his days off while I attended births and appointments. I truly could not have done this without you.

I also want to thank all of my mentors this year! .in.bloom , and ! Having all this support in this community in my first year has helped me thrive as a doula! I couldn’t have done it without you all!! As birth workers we need each other because it is hard work, but so rewarding! I love you all!! 💕 And I’m so thankful for all you do in the community. And I’m sad to be leaving in June 😭

As we head into the new year, I’ll be moving to Plano and shifting more into childbirth education—with my first in-person class coming soon in the Youngstown area!

At 9:30AM at We will be discussing how to have a positive unmedicated birth in the hospital! This is a free community event and open to all mamas who are TTC or currently pregnant.

This time I am also welcoming partners. Because they are a big part of how to have a positive experience. We will discuss what partners can do to help you have the birth you’ve envisioned and how they can advocate for you!

Why should you hire a birth doula? 👇🏼

Having a doula by your side can decrease the risk of C-section by 39%, can give you a 15% increase in the likelihood of spontaneous vaginal birth 10% decrease in the use of pain meds, shorter labors, an increase of the satisfaction of the birth experience.

Birth doulas can also help you write your birth plan and help you advocate for what you want!

So if you are planning on going unmedicated (or even if you aren’t) I 100% believe you should hire a doula! If you have more questions about doulas like how to find one or what the average cost is comment below!

A doula isn’t just there to help you manage pain. I’ll be by your side when you hit that wall and think, “I can’t do this.” I’ll remind you: You can. You were made for this.

At both of my own births, my doulas offered small but powerful reminders—like “soften your face,” or “you can do anything for a minute”—that made all the difference in helping me achieve an unmedicated birth.
