The Hear in Cleveland event, founded by Dr. David Rosenberg from University Hospitals and Fortunato Figliano from Centers for Hearing Care, was part of the Medworks/MedWish initiative at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. This event provided essential services like dental, optical, and other medical specialties to the community free of charge.
We were proud to collaborate with ENT specialists and audiologists from University Hospitals as well as audiologists from Kent State University through the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium and Cleveland State University. The NOAC audiology students, led by Dr. Anne Baker and Dr. Myrna Forbes, took the lead in conducting hearing tests and providing vital care to those in need alongside students from Cleveland State University’s own Speech and Hearing Program, spearheaded by Dr. Myrita Wilhite.
Individuals from Centers for Hearing Care, including Dr. Sheryl Figliano, Dr. Amanda Grove Kenney, Jack Mashburn, H.A.S., Katie Craine, and Penny May, H.A.S. also volunteered alongside these talented students.
This event was a remarkable example of collaboration, making it possible for individuals in need to receive top-tier hearing care at no cost. We are excited to continue building upon this work to ensure hearing health is accessible for all.
