The umbilical cord is more than a lifeline during pregnancy… it is the bridge.

For months, it carried oxygen, nutrients, stem cells, and the mother’s blood to her baby. It supported growth, protection, and connection.

After birth, the cord doesn’t stop working immediately. As it continues to pulse, it delivers a final transfusion of blood, supporting baby’s iron stores, circulation, and transition into life outside the womb.

Delayed cord clamping honors this sacred pause.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is taken before it’s complete.

At our breastfeeding ceremony, we sit around an altar, pray, introduce ourselves, and share our stories. We breathe together, sometimes sing, and intentionally create a space of safety, reverence, and community.

Afterward, each mother is photographed individually ~ a keepsake to remember this season, this devotion, this love ~ and we capture group photos to honor the collective.
