🐮🐷 There’s nothing better than a little farm fun to bring language to life! During pretend play, we used farm animals to narrate actions, practice environmental sounds (hello “moo” and “oink!”), and sneak in concepts like “on,” “under,” and “next to.” Through modeling and self-talk, we helped our little ones build vocabulary, imagination, and confidence, all through play! 🌾💛

✨ At Bee Heard, we know that all behavior is communication 💬👂 Before children have the words, their actions speak volumes! Here are just a few examples ⬇️

💛 Crying, pushing, or pointing = making requests or saying “no thanks”
💛 Stomping, covering ears, or smiling = expressing emotions
💛 Bringing toys or tapping you = seeking connection
💛 Walking away or hiding = showing they want a break
💛 Gestures or big reactions = filling in for words they don’t yet have

When we look at behavior through the lens of communication, we can respond with empathy, support, and the right tools to help every child Bee Heard 🐝💛

👅✨ Practicing /l/ can feel tricky, but exaggerating those tongue movements makes all the difference! At Bee Heard Speech & Language Therapy, we make it fun by really lifting and stretching that tongue to the top of the mouth so kiddos can feel and hear the /l/ sound more clearly. 💡🐝

The bigger the movement, the easier it is for our little bees to learn where their tongue needs to go! 🌟
