In 2022, Kenny, a police officer from Idaho, was diagnosed with leukemia and needed a to survive. His match was Banks, a University of Florida lacrosse player who joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry in 2020. 🧬

“I volunteered at a children’s cancer center, so I know how cancer affects families,” said Banks. “I wanted to help if I could.”

The two met for the first time in 2024 at a pickleball tournament 🏓 hosted by the Miami Beach PD — nearly two years after the transplant that saved Kenny’s life.

For the past 18 years, Ana has dedicated her career to guiding donors with compassion and care through every step of the donation process, from match notification to post-donation follow-up.
