You’re not alone in feeling lonely, but you don’t have to stay that way. We’re here for you!

Here are 10 Things to Try if You Don’t Feel Connected this Week:

Start your morning with meaning!
Even five quiet minutes—reading, praying, journaling, or stretching—can center your heart before the day begins.

Plan something small to look forward to a coffee, a walk, a phone call, a new meal to cook. Sometimes tiny things help us remember that time is still full of life.

Be around people, even if you’re not talking
Work from a coffee shop, attend a class, and visit the library. Just being near others can soften the edges of isolation.

Send a “thinking of you” text You don’t need a reason. A quick message to someone else often reconnects something inside you, too.

Talk to someone who listens well
A counselor, mentor, or friend. Saying things out loud can help you carry them differently.

Do something with your hands! Make bread. Pull weeds. Rearrange a shelf. Tangible things remind us we’re capable, present, and alive.

Move your body with kindness. A walk, some yoga, or dancing in your kitchen. You don’t have to work out… just let your body wake up.

Help someone else in a small way offer to carry groceries, write a review, or check in on someone. It doesn’t have to be big to be powerful.

Take a no-phone hour. Put your phone in another room. Light a candle. Open a book. Let your attention return to you.

Say yes to something you’d usually skip
Even if you don’t feel like it. A dinner invite. A run club. A walk. A group event. A church service. Sometimes connection finds you on the other side of showing up.

Deep breaths can help you...
• lower your blood pressure and heart rate
• lower levels of stress
• reduce lactic acid buildup, which creates muscle tension
• improve your immune system
• increase your feelings of peace

Hold on to this. We encourage you to consider what steps to slow down, stop the spiral in your mind, and improve to feel your best.

Anxious? Focus on your senses. Wherever you are, think about something that you can see, smell, and feel.

Frustrated? Walk it out. Walking is a great way to help your mind process situations, decisions, and emotions.

Unmotivated? Change your environment, or think about what you can do to make your environment 10% better -- perhaps considering light, music, candles or diffusers, or your sitting position if you can't move.

Scattered? Consider what can you do to declutter -- digitally or physically.

Unfocused? Do a brain dump. Jot down everything on your mind until you run out.

Insecure? List your strengths or read Ephesians 1:4-6.

Worried? Focus on what you can control, and read 1 Peter 5:7.

Fearful? Visualize a positive outcome, and read Romans 8:37-39.

Confused? Talk it out with someone.

Guilty? Write a forgiveness letter to yourself. Consider praying about it in repentance.
