Florida Lymph Drainage

Florida Lymph Drainage Reduce Inflammation, Release Restrictions, and Improve Lymphatic Flow at Florida Lymph Drainage. Hi, I'm Alexandra "Lexi". That's what led me down this path.

I help people reduce inflammation in their bodies naturally through Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, lymph-fascial release, and using vacuum cupping to release restrictions and improve lymphatic flow. My background is in healthcare and medical research and in my 20's when faced with a variety of autoimmune challenges I had to learn how to help my body heal. When your body is stuck in a sympathetic response, it is unable to heal, restore and rebalance. The results are inflammation, emotional frustration, and a sense of helplessness regarding how to break this cycle. I believe in our body's natural ability to heal when we are able to slow down and tune in to it. If this sounds like something you'd like to experience, please book an appointment.

This is something, I've been suspecting for a while now. Since most of my clients are women and my hands can feel the lympho-fascial changes, I always assumed it was hormones. Men seldomly have the same issue.

"Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts." ~ Winston Churchill

I'll be the first to admit that my default reaction to stress is to go into ostrich or hermit mode. Hiding out and shutting the world out may feel safe at first but it always comes at a price. It reminds me of an old movie called House of Sand and Fog.

Eventually we need to come back to the light, pay those overdue bills and taxes that we ignored while hiding and get our lives back in order.

Let's celebrate the fact that we had the courage to get back up!

“Holding space for your healing journey.”

Navigating grief is much like driving along the treacherous, winding mountain roads of Northern California, shrouded in dense, heavy fog.

You can barely see what's ahead—sometimes not even a foot in front of you. Every wrong turn holds the risk of veering off into the unknown. Your heart pounds as you remind yourself to breathe and urge calm, but your body resists, tense with uncertainty.

The only way through is to keep moving, slowly and steadily—both hands gripping the wheel, staying mindful of each breath, and, if you're lucky, letting some good music help light the way.

---

If you're navigating loss, remember: you're not alone.

Take it one careful step at a time, and trust that, with patience and presence, clearer days will come.

Lipedema and the WAL technique:

Water-Assisted Liposuction (WAL) for Lipedema in the USA

Water-Assisted Liposuction (WAL), sometimes referred to as Body-Jet® or AquaLipo®, is a specialized liposuction technique used in the USA to treat lipedema. Unlike traditional liposuction methods, WAL utilizes a gentle, fan-shaped water jet to dislodge lipedema fat cells, minimizing trauma to surrounding tissues like lymphatic vessels, nerves, and blood vessels.

Benefits of WAL for Lipedema:
Less Trauma: WAL's gentle approach reduces pain, swelling, and bruising compared to traditional liposuction, leading to faster recovery times.
Lymphatic Sparing: The technique minimizes damage to the delicate lymphatic system, crucial for lipedema patients who are already at risk of developing lymphedema.

Improved Mobility and Pain Relief: By removing lipedema fat, WAL can significantly reduce pain and swelling, improving mobility and overall quality of life for patients.

Enhanced Precision: The controlled water jet allows for more precise fat removal, which can lead to smoother results and improved body contouring.

Quicker Recovery: Patients often experience faster healing and can return to daily activities sooner compared to traditional liposuction.
WAL for Lipedema is not a cure, but a highly effective management tool.

Who is a good candidate for WAL?
Individuals with diagnosed lipedema, particularly in the early to moderate stages, with stable health and no significant heart conditions, uncontrolled diabetes, or blood clotting disorders.

What to expect during and after WAL:
Procedure: Performed using local tumescent anesthesia (not general), a cannula with a water jet is inserted to gently separate and suction out fat cells.

Recovery: Bruising and swelling are common in the first few weeks. Compression garments are often required.

Results: Patients can expect a noticeable reduction in fat, improved body contouring, and relief from lipedema symptoms.

Cost of WAL in the USA:
Costs can vary significantly depending on the surgeon's experience, location, and the extent of treatment, but generally range from $4,000 to over $15,000 per area.

Finding a Qualified WAL Surgeon in the USA:
Lipedema Expertise: Choose a surgeon who specializes in treating lipedema with WAL and has a proven track record.

Consultation: Schedule a consultation to discuss your specific needs and goals, and ensure the surgeon utilizes lymph-sparing techniques.

Note: Insurance coverage for lipedema surgery, including WAL, can be inconsistent, as it's often considered cosmetic even though it's medically necessary.

The human body is a funny thing. Sometimes a traumatic event, like a car accident, death in the family, divorce, cross country move, or sickness can trigger a stress response.

Once the incident has passed the "on switch" remains stuck in the "on" position. Your nervous system perpetually in defense mode even when your mind knows there's no longer a threat.

This becomes your new normal and you don't even realize you're under stress. Your smart watch doesn't measure cortisol.. Yet.. So it's feedback doesn't alert you to what is going on.

Meanwhile, your trusty gut is doing backflips trying to get you to pay attention but now CIBO has been normalized and you're chasing supplements down with over the counter meds to feel normal .

Does this sound familiar?

You're not alone.

Lymphatic drainage can help your nervous system regulate even when stress
