A patient battling MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) received hope thanks to Matthew.

After joining the registry at Tulane University in 2025, Matthew was called to donate stem cells and traveled to our collection center for an all-expense-paid ! ✈️

During his visit, our team made sure every detail of the experience was comfortable and personalized. From a warm, welcoming environment to concierge support throughout the stay, donors are cared for every step of the way while they give the gift of life.

Ashley joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry in 2023 after swabbing her cheek during University of Miami Volunteer Week. Just two years later, she donated her stem cells at our Adelson Gift of Life-NMDP Stem Cell Collection Center and helped save the life of a blood cancer patient. You can do that too.

Hear from Dr. Bruce Lenes, Gift of Life’s Co-Chief Medical Officer, on why donors ages 18 to 35 are the most requested 🧡

Younger donors are linked to better transplant outcomes, and while both men and women are urgently needed, transplant centers often request young male donors because they typically provide higher stem cell yields.

If you are between 18 and 35, joining the registry takes just a few minutes and could one day save a life. And if you are outside that age range, you can still make a difference by helping us spread awareness.
