As they say, “The only sure thing in life is change.” I believe that this is true of not just changing, but also of evolving.
As many of you know, I have been evolving my focus as a doctor for many years. When I first started the Dunetz Wellness Center and began practicing in 2008, my practice primarily involved acupuncture and similar healing modalities. But as I continued to treat increasingly complex chronic diseases, I realized that a more integrative medical approach was called for. I found that approach in the practice of functional medicine.
Functional medicine is the science-based process of discovering and addressing the root cause of an individual's illness(es); it utilizes a combination of the most advanced Western diagnostic testing and non-drug treatment protocols. For the past 14 years I have employed functional medicine to help people overcome serious chronic health conditions. It has given so many patients a new lease on life. It has also brought me immense joy, as I realize that it is through the practice of functional medicine that I can best help my patients achieve their version of ideal health. For a doctor, there is no greater reward.
I believe that there are no coincidences. I recently learned that Spanish River Plaza (the site of my prior office) was purchased and that the new owners were not renewing most of the current leases, as they have a different vision for the center.
I have taken this as a sign that it is time to focus my practice solely on functional medicine in a new location.
We closed the space at 500 NE Spanish River Boulevard have moved my office to a new space located in “The Preserve at 7700 Congress Avenue”, not far from our prior office in Boca Raton. From the new space I provide functional medicine consultations via telemedicine, as well as offer nutritional supplements and vitamin B-12 injections.
You will still have our friendly office manager, CJ, to guide you as a functional medicine patient.
When I entered the practice of acupuncture more than a dozen years ago, I had no idea that I would eventually earn a doctoral degree and help so many people with serious illnesses heal and thrive using the scientific principles of functional medicine. I look forward to expanding this practice to help many more patients achieve their individual versions of ideal health.
It has been a pleasure serving you these past 14 years in this location. I hope for the privilege to continue as your healthcare partner in my functional medicine practice located in “The Preserve at 7700 Congress Avenue”.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rodney Dunetz
