Dr. Cabrera has always sought challenging academic environments, beginning with his undergraduate studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He went on to earn his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City, where he remained to complete his surgical residency. He chose to refine his skills and medical knowledge through fellowships in both plastic surgery and scarless wound healing. Since his formal training, Dr. Cabrera has remained connected to the world of education by authoring more than 20 textbook chapters and research articles.
Over more than two decades in practice, Dr. Cabrera has enjoyed numerous recognitions and designations as one of the region’s top plastic surgeons.
