COURAGE
Courage is not the absence of fear — it’s the decision to move forward despite it.
Fear doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human. Courage is what rises in you when fear tells you to stay quiet, stay hidden, stay small — but your soul says, “Go.”
Courage is choosing to leave, even when you don’t know what’s on the other side. It’s making the call, asking for help, saying “This isn’t love.” It’s walking into a shelter with nothing but hope.
It’s showing up to heal. Again and again.
Every step counts.
Whether it’s the first step away from abuse or the hundredth toward a new future — every act of courage matters. At DCTADV, we witness courage every day: survivors walking through our doors, creatives raising their voices, teams designing campaigns that break silence and build hope.
To our creative community:
You are part of this story. Your designs, your words, your platforms can help normalize courage — not just for survivors, but for entire communities.
Use your voice to say:
• It’s okay to be scared — you can still leave.
• You’re not alone — there is a way out.
• Courage looks different for everyone — and all of it is valid.
At DCTADV, our mission is to give survivors the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives through creativity, education, and emotional empowerment.
Our vision is a world where courage is not just celebrated, but nurtured.
