I’m in Hong Kong visiting my daughter, and something keeps striking me…
The way the elderly are treated here.
They are respected.
They are included.
They are cared for—without being rushed.
There’s a sense of patience. Presence. Dignity.
And it made me pause…
Because in the U.S., we’ve normalized something very different.
15-minute visits.
Rushed conversations.
Symptoms managed, but people not truly heard.
We’ve accepted it as “just the way healthcare is.”
But it doesn’t have to be.
As we age, we don’t need less care.
We need more thoughtful care.
More time.
More listening.
More understanding of the whole person—not just a diagnosis code.
This is exactly why I built my practices:
At TransforMed Wellness Co. – we take the time to look deeper.
At TransforMed Healthcare – even at the Medicare level, you are not rushed through your care.
Because healthcare should feel like this:
You’re heard.
You’re understood.
You’re treated like you matter.
Not like a number on a schedule.
Maybe it’s time we stop accepting rushed care…
and start expecting better.
