Here I am. Almost 4 weeks post partum with my 2nd child (not pictured). We took my daughter to a little amusement park - I was desperate to show her a good time after her world had been rocked by the arrival of a new baby bro.

She was still so little and I was still so raw. I am smiling in this picture but I was barely sleeping. Anxiety, depression, and crawling out of my skin.

I walked around the amusement park in a daze and wanted to run away the entire time. Although in this picture, by all accounts, I look very happy.

My point is ASK 👏🏻 ASK 👏🏻 ASK!! Ask that mama how she’s doing. And even when she says fine-make sure you keep asking. So she KNOWS she not alone. I make a point to ALWAYS ask-“and how are YOU feeling emotionally?” To every single woman I know who has given birth. Be it their 1st or 41st child! 🖤
