đź’– From heartbreak to hope, turning pain into purpose...

When single mom and entrepreneur Jennifer Zawadzki was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, she leaned on the same strength and positivity she built her business on — the Future You Project, which sends inspirational gifts and messages from your “future self.”

Through treatment at Lynn Cancer Institute, Jen never lost her spark — even throwing a “Getting Wiggy With It” party before chemo began. Her journey is a powerful reminder that early detection saves lives, and that joy, community, and self-love are part of healing.

Now cancer-free, Jen continues to uplift others and give back, including as a proud contributor to our Go Pink Luncheon. 🌸 Come out on October 31st to see her shine the light of hope.

Jennifer Zawadzki is the founder of Future You Project, which offers inspirational gifts and cards to support people through tough times. The messages came in handy when, just as her business was flourishing, she was diagnosed last year with stage 4 breast cancer.

Marcus Neuroscience Institute employees joined forces with the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute to honor the memory of Kyra Khayat — a registered nurse and beloved colleague — with an empowering education program aptly named “K.Y.R.A. – Know Your Risk… Act Now!”

Kyra was 32 years old, recently married, and a new mom when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She passed away earlier this year after a brief, four-month battle.
Her colleagues came together to honor her memory through action and education, raising awareness about cancer genetic testing and the importance of women knowing their breast cancer risk by age 25.

To learn more about the Cancer Genetic Screening Program at the Lynn Women’s Institute, call (561) 955-4363 (GENE), option #3, or to make a gift to the Lynn Cancer Institute in honor of Kyra, please visit: https://donate.brrh.com/make-a-donation/cancer/

The Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation proudly celebrated the inaugural Scholars Program at Marcus Neuroscience Institute — an inspiring evening honoring Drs. G. Peter Gliebus, Amy Laitinen, and Frank Vrionis. These physicians embody excellence in innovation, research and compassionate care. This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary generosity of The Marcus Foundation, Inc. We are deeply grateful to Bernie and Billi Marcus for their visionary support through a transformative grant to the Marcus Neuroscience Institute. Thanks to their gift, our first Marcus Scholars can advance cutting-edge research into the causes and treatment of neurological disorders — pushing the boundaries of science and care far beyond the bedside.
