Dr. Alexandra C. Schmidt, a Board Eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist is serving the Boca Raton greater community in private practice.

Dr. Schmidt's expertise includes mastering the latest obstetrical and gynecologic surgical techniques. She is skilled at performing minimally invasive surgery using advanced Robotic, Laparoscopic, Hysteroscopic and Laser methodology. Dr. Schmidt has mastered colposcopy and focuses on cervical cancer prevention. She is experienced with da Vinci robotic surgery, performing laproscopy, and hysterectomy through small incisions. She also utilizes Novasure, Themachoice and HTA ablation procedures to treat bothersome abnormal uterine bleeding. The Adiana and Essure sterilization procedures she performs may be done in the office or as an outpatient. Many of her patients benefit from outpatient procedures without having to stay overnight at the hospital and without prolonged or disabling recoveries. Dr. Schmidt received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the Univeristy of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern Univerisity School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Ob/Gyn training through Ohio University at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center a Level I trauma center. Dr. Schmidt is active in educating future physicians. She was recently appointed as Academic Faculty to Florida Atlantic University Medical School and is teaching a Clinical Practicum course there this fall. Dr. Schmidt is active in supporting community outreach programs donating her time to provide free cervical cancer screening to the uninsured. Dr. Schmidt feels sincerely privileged to take care of the growing families in our community and looks forward to many more years of serving the community.
