Earlier this year, we shared that CEO Gerald T. Grant plans to retire at the end of 2026.

Today, we’re pleased to announce that Karen Christiansen, currently President, has been named the next Chief Executive Officer of Acts Retirement-Life Communities, effective January 1, 2027.

Karen brings nearly 30 years of experience with Acts and a deep commitment to our mission, making her exceptionally well-suited to lead our next chapter.

After nearly four incredible decades of service, Acts has announced an important leadership update.

CEO Gerald T. Grant has informed the Board of Directors of his intention to retire at the end of 2026. He will continue to serve as CEO through the conclusion of his term, maintaining full responsibility for Acts' operations and strategic direction during this planned transition.

The Board has initiated a succession process as part of its comprehensive leadership planning, with a full-year transition timeline designed to ensure continuity and long-term success.

We are deeply grateful for Mr. Grant's nearly 40 years of leadership and impact, and remain fully committed to our mission, our residents, and our stakeholders.

Holiday in the Tropics at Edgewater at Boca Pointe! 🌺🔥 Residents & guests enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon with Polynesian dancers, fire dancers, a talented live singer, and delicious appetizers by the pool. It was the perfect way to celebrate the season in true tropical style! 🎄☀️✨

🏡 Residents enjoyed a fun outing to the Historic Butler House in Deerfield Beach! Hosted by the The Deerfield Beach Historical Society, we toured the 100-year-old home and visited the beautiful menorah exhibit. The day wrapped up with a delicious lunch at Red Fox Diner with great food and even better company! ✨🍽️
