Tony Anello was well known as a fisherman and business owner. Tony was also a retired career firefighter and member of the Board of Directors of the Bodega Bay Fire Protection District. In memory of his public safety legacy, the Bodega Bay Fire Foundation has established the Tony Anello Memorial Scholarship to be awarded yearly to a graduating Tomales High School senior. The 2026 award will be $3000 with the goal of raising the donation amount in the future. It is so fitting that his memory will live on and invest in the future of a deserving young individual. His spirit will be missed.

Neighbors and Friends – Our 2025 raffle notification letter will be arriving at your homes, businesses and in your mailboxes soon. In 2024, we funded fifteen humanitarian, charitable and community causes in addition to awarding three Tomales High School scholarships. In January 2025, we have already funded two community causes.

We no longer sell T-shirts or put on a Pancake Breakfast. So the revenue to do what we do relies entirely on this raffle, Fish Fest and private donations.

Donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to Bodega Bay Fire Foundation, P.O. Box 1405, Bodega Bay, CA, 94923.

Thank you so much for your continuing support!

Our motto is "Serving Our Community". So far In 2024, we have made 14 donations to community causes such as Fisherman's Relief, Bodega School School (tuition for Jenner Sea Camp, October Pumpkin Patch field trip, student garden, and arts program), Bodega Bay Christmas Toy Drive, and family assistance funds resulting from tragic accident or fire (mostly recently, the Phommathep and Cervantes families).

We could not complete our mission without the support of private donations, Fish Fest, our annual fundraising raffle, Bodega Bay Community Center, and the Bodega Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you to all for your commitment to the mission of the Bodega Bay Fire Foundation

This is what the Foundation is all about!

---------------------------------------------
Hello Ray,

I’m not sure if you remember me but I was a scholarship receipt of the Margaret Hill Scholarship back in 2019.

I graduated early from Sonoma State with a bachelors in Sociology. I completed the 4 years of school in just 2 1/2 years.

Now, February of 2024 I am officially a social worker.

I wanted to extend a big thank you from the bottom of my heart because without scholarships like yours, this would not have been possible.

I am hope to continue to carry traits that Peggy embodied into my future.

Again, thank you.

Best Regards,
Daysee Magana-Herrera
