I want to share some of my story with Crohns.
I went to the doctor today and it is official I am clinically in remission. I recently had an MRI and it was all clear. 🎉
Testimonial "When I got diagnosed I was so relieved to finally have an answer. I had felt like doctors just didn’t listen to me before that. I knew something was wrong but I didn’t know what it was. When the doctor prescribed me medication though I told him I wanted to try to naturally heal first. He was skeptical but made me an appointment for a in a few months.
I went to a functional medicine doctor as well. I get labs done periodically and take supplements. But the biggest thing I did was change my diet. I started with AIP which helped a lot but I did notice my gut did not like when I had a lot of produce. So I decided to try carnivore. It was life changing. Not only did my inflation go down but my general bathroom habits got better too.
I still have a very sensitive gut. I have a very strict eating schedule and what I can eat. I only eat beef, eggs, salt, water.
But my most recent MRI was completely clear. A previous one showed a stricture and that was not visible in my recent MRI.
My gi dr asked about what I’ve been doing and he said to continue because it’s working.
I know a lot of people ask about diet and Crohns. I don’t know if it will work for anyone else but it worked for me. I’m so happy that I stuck with it. It was hard and takes a lot of commitment but I really did not want to be on medication.
Oh and I want to add this did not happen over night. I’ve been on carnivore diet for over a year. My MRIs were a year and a half apart."
