We love our John G!!!

PULSE HOME HEALTH EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

John Gulczynski, LOTR, has been an Occupational Therapist for 24 years. Prior to obtaining his degree in Occupational Therapy, John served 2 years in the US Army in Desert Storm in Germany and 6 years in the Army National Guard. Thank you John for your service.

Early in his OT career, John worked in several different areas of health care including acute care, nursing home, long term acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. For the past 18 years, John’s passion has been in home health care.

John lives by this motto: “Make your visit count, don’t count your visits!” He encourages his patients to set their own goals, “how” do they want to improve. By doing this, the patient helps to develop their own treatment plan with the OT assisting the patient to achieve their ultimate goals.

John has made home health care his primary focus of care for the following reasons as per John’s quote: “The people of Washington Parish are the most generous and thankful people! They greatly appreciate what I do for them, even though I’m only doing my job!”

John’s ultimate goal in life is: “Live to work and work to live!”

Pulse Home Health is blessed to have John as a member of our health care team!

Bogalusa Rehabilitation Hospital would like to introduce our new Medical Director, Steven Ogden, MD!

Dr. Ogden is a board-certified rural family medicine physician. He completed his rural family medicine residency in Bogalusa after completing medical school. Dr. Ogden pursued medicine because he believes that God called him to serve the medical needs of the community. He focuses on treating the whole patient – body, mind and spirit. His special interests include disease prevention, skin diseases, simple fracture care and sports medicine. Dr. Ogden provides a comprehensive spectrum of care including the diagnosis and managing of acute and chronic complex illnesses and personalized care coordination with specialists. In addition to his outpatient clinic practice, Dr. Ogden also serves as a hospitalist on the inpatient side.
