Kayli Phillips!

Kayli is a women’s health massage therapist and has been licensed since 2005. She worked in the studio for several years until she had her first daughter and decided she wanted to focus her time on her babies. Now that that daughter has graduated high school and her younger children are in school, she’s decided to get back in the studio with us!

Sarah Mizell Ramser (aka Sam)

Ms Sam is our lead therapist here at The Magic Touch of Health. She has been practicing here since the studio opened in 1998. Before her career as a massage therapist she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 5 years. She has continued her nursing career along side her massage therapy practice through the years. The combination of her nursing education and massage therapy education has served her clients well. Ms Sam has loyal clients that have been coming to her for years but she is always willing to take on new clients. We are thankful for her presence here and her willingness to share her knowledge with the rest of us! ♥️

You know it has been a long time (since March 2020) that we have endured this Covid-19 pandemic. Television is getting boring as are all or most of us not being around friends, acquaintances and those we know so much. Even when shopping for food or supplies, just seeing ones we would normally stop and talk to has almost stopped. We know each of you have the same feelings at times of isolation and even loneliness to contend with. We notice at our Magic Touch of Health Massage Studio (legally back opened since the middle of June) clients are relieved to come to a safe place not only talk to someone, but to be touched and massaged more than just a greeting fist bump. We know, and you should know, that even doctors hardly touch patients anymore, They just poke and prod your body, write orders for procedures and read reports unless surgery is needed. At our Studio we make you comfortable and work carefully to rid your body of toxins that have built up from muscles not being used much during these last many months. We are inexpensive and look forward to making each client feel better after getting their body tuned up. I personally never had a professional massage until the age of 55. Now, looking back, regular massages were the main thing that have kept me healthy through the last few years. I recommend one or several of them for everyone, especially now after months of forced inactivity. You would see how much better life is when your body responds differently. Mentally, stress will quickly cause physical problems. During Katrina, fortunately, our Magic Touch of Health Massage Studio kept telephone service, but lost electricity for over a month and a half. Since casino massage locations were wiped out, dozens of their clients around DiamondHead and Eden Isles discovered that our Massage Studio was open and there was a steady stream coming to us daily. We used candles for light, battery fans and portable music players to help these people. They were all thankful, always left happy and came back often for stress relief. Now with schools out for a month, adjustments to be made for children’s needs and worries piling up for everyone to keep it all together many are experiencing stress levels way beyond normal. This is just a reminder that Sarah and Charles at Magic Touch of Health Studio will be here actively helping all who come for relaxation therapy to relieve stress conditions. Our Studio has been in service for more than 22 years. It is a beautiful, confidential 800 sq. ft facility on the edge of a quiet, peaceful creek and after seeing thousands of satisfied clients we know our services will benefit you. All cruises have been cancelled and casinos have more than 250 people at a time so massage studios are not only a luxury, but are at a premium during this pandemic. Some have asked us why our massage studio is named Magic Touch of Health. During final months of massage college we were asked what would be our business name if we were starting one. We had visited and heard from several owners of various massage establishments during those last weeks and one was named Touch of Health. I liked that name and decided because Bogalusa was once called the Magic City I would add the name Magic to our title. The musical group Platters, earlier in my life, had recorded “You’ve Got the Magic Touch, so that also played a part in this decision. Now we, as Massage Therapists, don’t have a magic touch, but over our many years of touching hundreds of muscles, tendons, ligaments and skin we know that massage relieves pain, stiffness, soreness, etc. releasing toxins by using our hands. We know that God has allowed us to have this ability to help others and we praise and thank Him all the time as our hands move on clients’ bodies to either locate their areas of pain or relax stress for them.
