I was thinking of you and wrote us a note in my phone the other day…
Putting down the doubt and fear of saying the right thing.
Now is the time to live from
a place that reminds us that the *right* thing
Is to show up…

IMPERFECTLY,
HUMBLY,
OPEN HEARTED,
READY TO LISTEN
AND ENGAGE.

EVEN IF IT’S HARD.

Hard is easier when we link arms and hold each other up.

Thankful to be a mom in this life to my girls. We definitely hold each other up again and again.

Grateful for this beautiful, messy life.

If your heart feels uncertain, heavy or unsure,

Know that you are seen. Your heart’s aches are heard and held. You can link arms virtually with us. Your angels are watching over you. God has big plans for you in the small moments that are unfolding all of the time.

Chicago summer on repeat please…we love this city. What a way to wrap up our summer! Lots of amazing (gluten and dairy free) food! Thankful for choices that were all so delicious!

This summer, as we traveled, we savored more and rushed through less of the places we visited. I hope the slower pace made it all bake right into our souls bc it’s been so good.

We’ve met so many amazingly kind and generous people at every turn. Who helped us find the right train,
who treated us to free delicious desserts and treats,
who reminded us that customer service is more than good business, it makes for relationships,
who debunk the noise out there that the whole world has gone mad.
It’s quite honestly not truth.
People are so good.

We missed our college girl, but she’s back at UGA making the first of her senior year memories!

You know that Monday feeling? Waking up with dread, a weight on your chest, or “the mountain of to-dos is higher than I can see, and I haven’t even put a foot on the floor yet” feeling.

Waking with these physical and emotional feelings makes the slide into more unhelpful thoughts and habits even easier.

Yet, if we build awareness.

And pause.

Still no foot on the floor yet.

We can shift it just enough {one little degree is all it takes} to offer another path for the day.

How? Do one tiny something to hold the pause….

✨ Take 2 deep breaths….blowing out your exhale like your blowing out of a straw, nice and slow.

Or

✨ Gaze at something in your room. Just for 30-60 seconds. Really observe it. as you find this object to let your gaze rest on, drop your shoulders, wiggle your jaw, relax your breathing. What do you notice about the object? Keep going. Keep noticing details, colors, textures, sounds. Oftentimes once you’ve let yourself gaze…you’ll find a little message has come for you. A metaphor or reminder of how the day can shift when you pause.

Or

If you’re busy mind led you to forget you have love living right in your bed with you, pause and

🐶 Snuggle into your pillow, your sweet pet, or your loved one and breathe in the gift of living life where Love exists.

May your Monday have more ease.
May your Monday carry you in a way that reminds you that time is indeed on your side.
May your Monday give you glimpses of what truly matters to soften your hands in the doing.
May your Monday set a tone for your week that is rooted in a gracious heart and mind.
May it be so.

A stack of wisdom right by my bathtub. Along with epsom salts and candles.

More than anything I hope I love well.

More than anything, even when I act like a warrior, I pray my heart breaks ✨open✨ and expands.

More than anything I hope that when I explore that it’s an act of love, seeking to know more of the beauty of creation and humanity, so that when I’m lost, I’m actually found.

Is a good night’s sleep evading you? I see you. Me too. The change in seasons, all of the events we are part of and that we are witnessing, and our own bodies’ experiences and happenings are quite a bit to manage.

Join me on Tuesday evening for a blend of yoga + meditation designed to relax your mind and prepare your body for a more peaceful evening and a good night’s sleep.

Tuesdays 7:00pm via Zoom, so that you can come as you are and drift off to a peaceful evening as we close for the night.
