MEET NADA!

Nadamayi, aka Nada, is completing a degree in counseling at Boise State University. Up until recently, Nada has lived many lives in many different parts of the world. Now she is back in Idaho and is excited to embark on this next chapter of her life. As a counselor-in-training, Nada is specializing in helping individuals with many different challenges including those related to addiction, trauma, relationships, intersectionality, LGBTQ+ identity, different-ability and ableism, aging and ageism, caregiving, sleep disorders, chronic pain, and behavior change. Through the medium of telehealth, Nada approaches therapy from a relational presence-and-process orientation. She sits as a compassionate witness with individuals in the context of their journey of self-knowledge and self-healing.

Meet Presley Jarvis, Counseling Intern!

Presley is currently in the final year of her Master’s of Counseling program at Boise State University. She spent four years as a volunteer phone responder for the Idaho Su***de Prevention Hotline where she developed a passion for su***de prevention and awareness. She has experience with helping people navigate through suicidal ideation, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and difficulties with self-confidence. Presley’s approach to counseling is based on principles of Existential Theory. She believes that as human beings, we do not have control over everything that happens to us; however, we can control how we allow our challenges and conditions to impact our mindsets and our futures. Presley is also able to see clients at a reduced rate.

MEET AMANDA TAYLOR, COUNSELING INTERN

Amanda is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling from Boise State University. In addition to experience working with children and adolescents in state custody, she has helped adult clients explore concerns including sexuality, identity development, interpersonal relationships, and emotional regulation. Amanda operates from a person-centered counseling approach. She holds to the power of acting with empathy, genuineness, and non-judgment when working with individuals to engage in self-reflection and discover their path to change. In her down time, Amanda enjoys hiking, gardening, trying new foods, and enjoying a good book recommendation.

Meet Teresa Maynes, Counseling Intern!

​Teresa has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is in her final year of her Masters in Counseling from Boise State University. She is experienced working with adults with substance use, anxiety, domestic violence, and spiritual issues. She is dedicated to providing a supportive, safe environment to explore struggling relationships, difficult thoughts and overwhelming feelings. Teresa believes that self-awareness and personal reflection can improve all areas of life. She also finds value in exploring contextual and environmental barriers to growth. Teresa employs a person-centered approach to counseling as well as family therapy techniques. In addition to her passion for helping others, Teresa loves long walks with her beagle, tending to her houseplants, and traveling with her partner.

Meet Allison Gonzalez, Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. Allison has worked with young adults who struggle with mental health for the past 8 years and is now finishing up her hours towards counseling licensure. Allison supports a holistic approach and uses therapeutic interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to encourage clients to embrace their thoughts and feelings and move toward their desired outcomes.
